T HE Fort Worth Opera Associa-
tion has scheduled "The Song
of Norway" for presentation Feb.
2 to 7, 1953.
Two operas, "Madame Butter-
fly." and "Tosca" are being con-

Sin March.

for the third presentation.
James H. Snowden, president of
the opera association, said that
all plans for the season should be
complete within a short time.Pleasing to the most fastidious is the dining room at Hotel Texas which is
decorated in a red and grey motif that blends harmoniously with the indirect
lighting. Large oval blue mirrors reflect the scene of spotless napery and gleam-
ing silver. Foods to suit the most particular as well as regional dishes are
available at the luncheon from 11:30 to 2:30 p.m. and at dinner, 5:30 to 9 p.m.Curley Broyles
In The Keystone Room
THE Keystone Room of Hotel
Texas is open to dancing and
dining patrons temporarily on
Saturday and Sunday nights while
the Crystal Ballroom of the hotel
is being remodeled, Managing
Director H. H. (Andy) Anderson
has announced.
Curley Broyles' Orchestra is
playing week-ends. However, Mr.
Anderson announced that "name"
bands would be substituted from
time to time if any were in thearea and available for bookings.
Mr. Anderson said the Keystone
Room is needed now to take care
of hotel activities normally held
in the Crystal Ballroom, which is
being completely done over and
modernized.
Curley Broyles is well known in
this area. Last year he set a re-
cord at the Marine Room on the
Pleasure Pier in Galveston. He
formerly played trumpet with Bob
Crosby and Frankie Masters
bands. He has a 13-piece orchestra
in the Keystone Room.Carter's Cafeteria

Worthers and visitors to Fort
Worth are taking their children
to Carter's Cafeteria, 906 Houston
Street, in the center of downtown
area, where the entire family can
enjoy the tasty home-style cooked
foods served there.

baked chicken, steaks, roasts and
other savory meats served at
Carter's Cafeteria. A large selec-
tion of fine salads are available
here and the seasoned vegetables
are a rare treat. Fruit pies, cus-
tards, cakes, fruit rolls and pud-
dings head the list of the many de-
licious pastries available at
Carter's Cafeteria.

Botanic Gardens where flowers and the contrasting trees and shrubs make a picture of de-
light practically the entire year. At present there are roses and many other flowers in bloom
in "the Botanic Gardens.
