the Carrollton (TX) Libraries and as a branch
manager for the Plano (TX) libraries, as well as in
the Science and Engineering Library at Southern

branch manager for the
Chesterfield (VA) Public
Library System and
an adjunct instructor
of information literacy
for Bryan & Stratton
College. She is an
officer of the ALA New
Members Round Table,
chair of the VirginiaNew Members Round Table, and was selected as
an ALA Emerging Leader in 2011. With another
2010 UNT COI alumnae, Nicole Spoor, she
presented the findings of a survey they conducted
at the ALA annual conference and at IFLA.
Michele Lucero

position as director of
communications, LA -
Law School Library;
she also serves as local
coordinator for the _

MLS Program, working Michele Lucero
closely with faculty
and students and also organizing professional
development activities. She was formerly with
West, a Thomson Reuters business in LosAngeles, where she managed library relations in
Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, Hawaii,
Colorado, Iowa, and Nebraska. Michele is
currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education
in Organizational Leadership and a Master of
Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute,
Pepperdine University.

is manager of operations
for the Del City Library,
Metropolitan Library \
System, Oklahoma
City, OK, and is the
2011-2012 Oklahoma

Social Responsibilities
Roundtable chair. She is a member of ALA and
PLA and an OLA Gold Leadership graduate
2010. When she accepted a job as an assistant
director of a public library system in order to
"get out of the house', the firsthand experience
of public libraries empowering citizens and
improving lives motivated her to alter her career
path.
Carolyn Peterson

been director of the
Learning Resource
Center at Odessa (TX)
College since 2002 and
has served as director
of LRC and Student
Success Center since
January 1, 2011. She Carolyn Peterson
has served on campus
committees on her campus and participated
in organizations both on campus and in the
community.

'08), formerly associate
library director for
technical services,
University of Texas at
Dallas and now director,
Academic Catalogs
at UTD, is active in
both ALA and TLA
serving on and chairing
a number of committees

workshops for both associations as well as other
